Double Opt In for Email
What is a Double Opt In for email?
A double email opt-in sign-up requires the user confirm they have actively joined your email list. An email is sent after user subscribes. This email requires the user to click the link in the email in order to confirm they are the owner of the email address and want to receive emails from you.
- Double opt in on emails is optional.
- You can enable or disable it in Campaign> Edit> Opt-in Channels> Email.
- You can customize the Email confirmation message text up to 500 characters.
Why use double opt in?
Why would I want to force someone to take an extra step?
A double opt-in email sign-up protects your list, your company, and your subscribers. A double opt-in builds a better quality list with fewer bounces, blacklisting, and spam trap hits.
Email double opt-in is not required.
Double opt in on emails is optional. You can enable or disable it in Campaign> Edit > Opt-in Channels >Email tab.
